No sooner has Pocket Picks brought you news of the Samsung G600 five-megapixel camera phone, then pictures of its successor, the G800 leak onto the web. GSM Arena has got its grubby mitts on some photos and info on the new handset and while we understand the camera lens is still five-megapixel, this new slider now packs a 3x optical zoom and bona-fide Xenon flash.
Despite the G800 being a slider, the camera sits on the back of the phone complete with a sliding lens cover and faux-leather finish. One of the most disappointing aspects of the G600 was its lack of 3G or HSDPA but we still can’t confirm whether the G800 will rock up with these connection speeds. It also looks like you’re going to have to wait until early next year to get your hands on this sweet snapper.
